GCEC (Guam Commission For Educator Certification has invited JOHN GRANT (Georgia Professional Standards Commission Chief Investigator) to conduct training on EDUCATOR MISCONDUCT for all Guam Teachers, Administrators and interested School Personnel.  We urge all educators to participate in this FREE training especially with the challenges that technology has brought upon us.

“CODE OF ETHICS” 

THURSDAY, AUG 6, 2015 - DODEA, Private and Charter school Teachers

FRIDAY, AUG 7, 2015 – GDOE TEACHERS

8:00 am – 8:30 am       Registration

8:30 am -11 am             Training

  • John Grant will discuss the standards, explaining the reasons for the standards and provide examples of how the standard is violated. He will tailor the presentation to Guam’s Code of Ethics. Time for discussion and questions will be provided.

 

“INVESTIGATIONS” – All Administrators and interested school personnel

  • Investigation techniques continue to improve and become more sophisticated as detection and technology advance our capabilities. The presentation is very basic. It is geared towards principals, assistant principals, and other administrators. These individuals rarely have training, but they are continually called on to conduct thorough and well documented investigations.

 

GCEC will provide Certificates of Completion to all attendees.

All Initial, Professional and Master Educator certificate holders may use this for recertification as Professional Growth hours.
