Governor Eddie Baza Calvo signed the GCEC Rules and Regulations into law on Monday, May 23, 2011. All educators and those interested in becoming an educator MUST read Public Law 31-50. All the requirements for certification are stated in the law.

 

Praxis Update

ETS (Praxis series) has provision for Test Takers Whose Primary Language Is Not English for extra time on the paper based tests. Applicant must request for this special accommodation through ETS.
 

Ethics in Public Service Training

The Guam Commission for Educator Certification attends Ethics Training with Senator Guthertz The newly established Guam Commission for Educator Certification staff and members attended an Ethics in Public Service Training facilitated by Senator Dr. Judy Guthertz via the Office of the Lieutenant Governor and Guam State Clearing House, on October 16, 2008. The Guam Commission for Educator Certification, formally of the GPSS Certification Office, is a line agency of the Office of the Governor, established on May 9, 2008. All persons present received a Certificate of Completion.
